The Two Houses: Judah, Israel, And The Restoration Of The Whole Hebrew Nation

Section 10 of 16

Section 10

Hosea's Reversal

Hosea 1 does not end with scattering.

The judgment names are not the final word. The chapter moves into reversal:
those called "not my people" are called sons of the living Almighty. Judah and
Israel are gathered together. They appoint one head.

This is the heart of the study.

If the story ends with Judah alone, Hosea 1 has been narrowed. If the story ends
with northern identity speculation alone, Hosea 1 has been distracted. The
chapter points toward reunification under one head.
