Hosea 1 begins with the pain of departure and judgment, but it does not end
there. The same chapter that says "not my people" also says "sons of the living
Almighty." The same prophetic frame that names Judah and Israel separately also
speaks of them being gathered together under one head.
That is the direction of this study: not contempt, not nationalism, not
replacement, and not erasure, but restoration of the whole house in Yahwah's
hand.
