The Two Houses: Judah, Israel, And The Restoration Of The Whole Hebrew Nation

Section 13 of 16

Section 13

Modern Nations And Caution

This study should include modern geography only as a reader aid:

  • Assyria: core around modern northern Iraq, with imperial reach depending on

period.

  • Babylon: near modern Hillah / Babil Governorate, Iraq.
  • Judah/Judea: overlapping parts of modern Israel and the West Bank.
  • Samaria: central hill country, overlapping the modern northern West Bank.
  • Persia: mostly modern Iran.
  • Media: mostly northwestern Iran and surrounding Zagros region.
  • Anatolia: modern Turkey.
  • Aram/Syria: modern Syria and broader Levantine zones depending on period.

It should not say ancient borders map exactly to modern nation-states.

The Kurdistan question is meaningful and may become a future deep dive. For
this parent study, keep it as a research note unless it is separately approved
for the main public draft.
